Day 2
The day flew by so quickly as yet another day of nothingness. Lunch was good, as suggested by Berry. $10 for a meal! Worth it, i would say.
The rest of the day was much more interesting.
1. Live cross-country conference. Updates about earnings. Love story. Mitigation plans. Awardds
2. Seek helpdesk for assistance again. They could takeover control. But unresolved.
3. Did up an excel to track my to-dos, progress and all the contact info etc.
4. Read up on the survey and summarized it.
Overall, good day.
Day 3
This day was highly anticipated, since as usual, i'm the "lucky one" that always gets things that others dont.
Dont believe me? Here's some:
1. Manager on leave
2. Attachment can't be seen when sending a mail. It just wont attach.
3. Portal down. Oh, my life.
4. Faulty keyboard that goes crazy by typing a constant stream of a particular alphabet. Luckily i found a way to resolve it when it happens. But no, no prevention method. Only mitigation and corrective responses..
5. Do i really have to have 5? C'mon, just let me off. Well, maybe laggy network connection. Cant bloomberg and run learning tool at the same time.
But the day was interesting.
Started the first half without Manager. But at 11 there was a short internal meeting. It was regarding the Survey. Interesting stuff.
Then it was lunch! Intern treat. Got so full. Can't finish the pork chop rice. Found out some colleagues names and one of them is expecting a 3rd child.
Manager came, shared more. Basically rundown of policies and casual chat.
Back in office, shared about org chart, the Survey, and some scorecards. Got a picture of what he does.
But there's nothing for me, so i was offered a chance to shadow. Went to Berry's place and it was basically a sales pitch. 1 to 1, with jokes and some laughs. Really important to keep a relationship, and yet bring across the seriousness when required. That was settled quite fast.
Brought to coffee. Nice drink, but as usual it upsets my stomach.
Early day (:
